In Loving Memory of James Lee Hollanquest
Mr. James Lee Hollanquest, affectionately known as Jamie by his family and close friends was born on March 14, 1960, in Talladega County, Alabama. Jamie was raised by his grandparents, the late Ira Hollanquest and Parthenia Funderburg Hollanquest. On March 21, 2025, our beloved Jamie left an unforgettable impact on the hearts of everyone he touched, as he peacefully departed this life at the age of 65.
A LIFE OF SERVICE AND LOVE
Jamie was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama, where he accepted Christ at an early age and often sang in the Pleasant Hill Choir. Jamie Proudly served his country for 7 years in the United States Army, earning distinction and honor for his selfless commitment.
Beyond his impressive military accomplishments, Jamie was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend who touched countless lives with his infectious generous spirit, and unwavering empathy. While Jamie’s passing leaves an unfillable void in our lives, his legacy of love, laughter, and service will continue to inspire and uplift us. We take comfort in the memories of his bright smile, and unwavering commitment to making the world a better place.

Jamie was preceded in death by his wife, Amy Hollanquest, his mother, Parthenia Hollanquest, and his father, Ira Hollanquest.
He is survived by his two loving daughters, Shakendra Winston of Sylacauga, AL, and Keoshia Hollanquest of Albany, GA; one loving son, Anthony Smith of Florida; loving sister, Fannie Pearl Pinder of Jacksonville, FL; seven grandchildren, Mykia, Ty’Asia, Malachi, Ta’Shiah, Traijha, Royalti, and Nairobi, Jr.; special brother, Michael (Tracey) Stone, special son, Alex Smoot, extended families, Stone and Woods Family, and a host of other relatives and friends
