Jeffie Pearl Peterson Obituary

Harpersville, Alabama - Mrs. Jeffie Pearl Peterson, affectionately known as “Lil Pearl,” was born on June 23, 1941, in Bullock County, Alabama, to the late Jessie Nobles and the late Essie P. Cade. On Monday, March 3, 2025, she peacefully departed this walk of life in Childersburg, Alabama.

At an early age, Mrs. Peterson accepted Christ and became a devoted member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Harpersville, Alabama, where she was a faithful member and sung in the Mount Olive Senior Choir.

Along Jeffie’s life journey she met and united in Holy Matrimony to the late Willie J. Peterson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, four sisters, Mary Prem, Georgia Garner, Minnie Hall, and Anne Kelley, and five brothers, Jessie Nobles, Jimmy Nobles, Charlie Cade, Jerry Nobles, and Dexter Cade.

Her loving memories will be cherished by her loving children,  Sheila (Wayne) Kirksey, Jeffie (James) Lee, Teresa Greenlea, Willie (Wendy) Peterson, and Terrell (April) Peterson; five grandchildren: Mariah, Gregory, Ryan (Auturm), Kelow, and Kendra; and thirteen great-grandchildren: Naikiyha, Zachary, Mikayla, Chloe, Gee, Grady, Grayson, Jaylen, Jakobi, Hadleigh, Tyreek, Xzavie, and Eli.

She is also survived by her sisters-in-law: Joyce Dixson, Bridget (Terry Keller), Dorothy Peterson, Linda Peterson, and Almac Nobles; brothers-in-law: Mitchell Peterson and Terry Peterson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew and cherished her.

Celebration of life for Jeffie Pearl Peterson, age 83, will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 12:00 Noon at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Harpersville, Alabama. Pastor Clarence C. Carter, Eulogist.  Interment will commence in Harpersville Memorial Cemetery, Harpersville, Alabama.  Public viewing will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025, 1:00PM to 7:00PM at Community Funeral Home.
