Jerry Lee Hughes

Mr. Jerry Lee Hughes was born on February 19, 1955, in Sylacauga, Alabama.  Jerry was the beloved son of Marvin and Mary Hughes, who both preceded him in death.

Jerry accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. 

Jerry was a faithful and dedicated employee at American Plant Action and Community Funeral Home in Sylacauga, Alabama. 

On August 17, 2024, Jerry completed his journey here on earth and was call to his eternal home peacefully at his residence.  He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, and three sisters. 

Jerry leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving wife, Rosie L. Hughes; He was blessed with four bonus daughters, Delphine Morton (Fort Mitchell, AL), Karen Rice (Fort Knox, NY), Rayzine Rice and Cherell Kirksey (both of Sylacauga, AL); one sister, Ray Frances Tucker (Arthur), Flint, MI; step sister, Lois Burke (Sylacauga, AL); mother in law, Cora Kirksey (Sylacauga, AL); three sister in laws, Bernice Hughes, Brenda Hughes (both of Sylacauga, AL), and Brenda Simmons (Cincinnati, OH); four brother in laws, James Kirksey (Patricia), Michael Kirksey (Jenetta), Robert Kirksey (Freddie) all of Sylacauga, AL, and Wayne Kirksey (Sheila), Wilsonville, AL; sixteen grandchildren, special friends, John Coleman, and James Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends.
