John Lee McGraw

Vincent, Alabama - Celebration of life for John Lee McGraw, age 73, will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Evangel Temple Deliverance Temple, Vincent, Alabama.  Bishop Lodis McGregor, Eulogist. Interment will commence on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 11:00AM at Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama.  Public viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 1:00PM to 7:00PM at Community Funeral Home.

John Lee McGraw was born on December 21, 1951 to the beloved parents of Paul McGraw, Jr., and Lois McGraw who both preceded him in death. Mr. McGraw was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

John accepted Christ at a young age and later in life became a member of Evangel Temple Deliverance Temple, Vincent, Alabama. 

He attended and graduated from W. J. Jones School in Vincent, Alabama. After graduating John furthered his education at Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, Alabama. 

John later began a career and enlisted in the United States Army, where he traveled and served in many countries and traveled overseas numerous times. John retired and joined the Alabama National Guard and served for 30 years.

John departed this walk of life on Monday, May 5, 2025 at his residence in Vincent, Alabama.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories a loving wife, Marjorie McGraw; loving children, Teneshia (Derek) Abrams, Netashia (Troug) Kim, Angela Lewis and Walter Lewis; six grandchildren, Tanaya, Tamia, Jayden, Caleb Carter, and Ava; like a sister, Shirley (Alfonso) McCoy; brother in laws, David (Frieda) Abrams, William (Angela) Abrams, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
