John Rickey Borden's earthly journey began on March 16, 1955, in Sylacauga, Alabama to the parents of Mr. Frank Borden and Mrs. Barbara Jean Smith Borden.
Rickey accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and united with Harper Springs Baptist Church in Sylacauga, Alabama. There he served on the Usher board until his health started to decline.
He received his education in the Sylacauga City School system at East Highland High School, during this time he played on the basketball team. After receiving his education Rickey drove trucks for many years.
Rickey had a love for college football and was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan.
Rickey departed this walk of life on September 28, 2023, under the care of Citizens Baptist Medical hospital in Talladega, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank Borden and Barbara Jean Smith Borden.
Rickey's love will forever be cherished by his loving partner, Marsha Wilson; a loving brother, Dwight Borden; aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.
