John Wesley Adams Obituary

Sylacauga, Alabama - John Wesley Adams, Jr. earthly journey began on September 15, 1955, in Rockford, Alabama.  Affectionately known as “Johnny” departed this walk of life on December 19, 2024, at his residence in Sylacauga, Alabama.

John accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.  He united his faith and became a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church, Hanover, Alabama.  He received his education in the Sylacauga City School System and graduated from Sylacauga High School.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Corbin Adams, father, John Wesley Adams, Sr., brother, Henry Patterson, and sister, Consta Adams Morris.  He leaves to cherish his loving memories a loving son, Desmond Adams; grandchildren, Justin Adams, Denili Parker, Decatuin Parker, and Noah Adams; great grandchild, Scotlyn Adams; loving sister, Mable Adams (James) Williams; nieces, Krista Cleveland, and Alesia Williams; nephew, Ronie Morris, Jr.; great nieces and nephews, Kaci Williams, Koby Williams, and Alex AJ Williams, Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of life for John Wesley Adams, Jr, age 69, will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Community Funeral Home Chapel, Sylacauga, Alabama.  Pastor James O. Blackmon, Officiating. Interment will commence in the Shady Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hanover, Alabama.
