Sylacauga, Alabama - Johnnie Kendrick Munford earthly journey began on March 3, 1944, in a small town called Nixburg, Alabama. She was the beloved daughter of Alex Culpepper and Madell Kendrick who both preceded her in death.
At a young age in life, Johnnie accepted Christ as her Lord and savior. She fellowshipped for many years with Fresh Start Ministries of Sylacauga, Alabama under the leadership of Pastor Roderick Stallworth. Johnnie received her education at J.D. Thompson High School, in Coosa County, Alabama.
Johnnie began her career in the textile industry and became a dedicated employee with Russell Mills for many years. Later she was employed with Wallace Cleaners for many years until her retirement.
Johnnie departed this walk of life on July 26, 2024, at her residence in Sylacauga, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex Culpepper and Madell Kendrick, son, Elijah Kendrick, sister, Mary K. Hale, brothers, Sam Kendrick, James Kendrick, Wayne Culpepper, and Robert Days.
Her love will forever be cherished by her siblings, Johnnie Lee Kendrick, Ann (Frank) Wilkerson, Terry (Jacqulyn) Culpepper, and Jerry (Patricia) Days all of Sylacauga, AL; grandchildren, Conorda (Chandreca) Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Valerie (Curtis) Garrett all of Sylacauga, AL, and Anthony Howard of Texas; daughter in law, Ethel Kendricks of Sylacauga, AL; sister in laws, Darlene Isome of Dayton, OH, Ella C. Days of Childersburg, AL, Sandra Kendrick of Chicago, IL, and Yvonne Isome of Amherst, NY; special friend, Lawrence Ervin of Sylacauga, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
