Mr. Joseph Fuller was born seventy-five years ago to the late Allie Bo and Mattie Moon Fuller on May 7, 1946, Talladega County, Alabama. On February 22, 2022, Mr. Fuller went home to be with the Lord, under the care of Princeton Baptist Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. Fuller had two sisters, and four brothers to proceed him in death, Claude Fuller, Ethelene F. Patton, Eugene Fuller, James Fuller, Louise F. Strong, and Nolan Fuller.
At an early age, Mr. Fuller joined the Harper Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama. Mr. Fuller graduated from R.R. Moton in 1965 and was known as one of the best running back in the school's history. After high school, Mr. Fuller relocated and lived in Detroit, Michigan and Denver, Colorado but returned home to Sylacauga and was employed with the city of Sylacauga for several years. While in Sylacauga, he met the love of his life, Ms. Patricia Varner, who also preceded him in death. Mr. Fuller's health declined in 2012 and he became a resident of Coosa Valley Healthcare Center in April of 2012.
Memories of his life will be cherished by his three sisters, Johnnie Mae Goodgame of Sylacauga, AL, Juanita Fuller-Scott, and Brenda Wyteria (George) Wilson of Villa Rica, GA; two brothers, Clyde Fuller of Sylacauga, AL, and Fred Wilson of Anniston, AL; one sister-in-law, Lillie Fuller of Aurora, CO; a special niece, Michele R. Foster and special nephew, Michael R. Goodgame both of Sylacauga, AL; special aunt, Laura (Aunt Janie) Goodgame; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, staff of Coosa Valley Healthcare Center and DaVita Kidney Care.
