Joseph Sparks' earthly journey began on November 17, 1940, in Talladega County, Alabama to the parents of George Sparks and Alice Bledsoe. Joseph was affectionately known as Joe Buck by family and friends. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and united with Mt. Zion CME Methodist Church, Alpine, Alabama.
Joe Buck received his formal education in the Talladega County School System and graduated from Phyllis Wheatley High School, Childersburg, Alabama. He further his education and attended barber school in 1967, in Atlanta, Georgia
Joe Buck worked many years as a Car Salesman until his retirement.
He departed this walk of life on December 21, 2022, under the care of Regional Medical Center, Anniston, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Sparks and Alice Bledsoe, one brother, Will Hilton Sparks, one sister, Rosa Pearl Sparks, one granddaughter, Anieya I. Jones.
Joe Buck’s love will forever be cherished by five children, Justin Sparks, Joseph Dates, Kenya Swain, Jodi (Aundre) Howard, and Isha Dates; grandchildren, Lakendra Swain, Kenshay Swain, Kayla Sparks, Kendarius Swain, Ty’Asia Howard, My’Asia Howard, Ja’Hai Young, Jakayla Cunningham, Z’Niyah Howard, Shardel Harper, Jamarkeo Howard, Gabrielle Dates, Diamond K. Williams, De’Asia A. Cannon, and Devin M. Williams; special nieces, nephews, two special friends, Debra Jones and Jones Tyree, other relatives and friends.
