Judy Ann Etheredge - Terrell Obituary

Sylacauga, Alabama - Judy Ann Terrell, born Judy Ann Etheredge, began her earthly journey on August 2, 1954, in Sylacauga, Alabama. She was the cherished daughter of the late Thomas Edward Etheredge and Mary Mackie Etheredge. Judy peacefully departed this walk of life on November 28, 2025.

Judy received her education in the Sylacauga City School System and graduated from Sylacauga High School. She continued her learning by taking classes at Central Alabama Community College, always valuing education and self-improvement.

Judy was known for her warm personality, her love of Alabama football, the love of Elvis and her fondness for anything that featured a bear—items that brought her joy and reminded others of her fun-spirited nature. Some of her happiest moments were spent taking her grandchildren to Lake Winnepesaukah, creating memories filled with laughter, excitement, and love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Edward Etheredge and Mary Mackie Etheredge, and her brother, Roy William Etheredge.

Judy leaves to cherish her loving memory two devoted daughters, Michelle Ball of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Traci Terrell of Sylacauga, Alabama; her beloved grandchildren, Kayla Ball, Brianna Ball, Valan Lively, Chance Terrell, and Serenity Terrell; her sister, Sara (Martin) Brooks; nephews, Michael (Emily) Brooks and Matt Brooks; and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.

Judy’s life was one of love, joy, and devotion to her family. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who knew and loved her.

Roses For Mom....

If roses grow in heaven

Lord please pick a bunch for me

place them in my mothers arms

and tell her they're from me

tell her I love her and miss her,

and when she turns to smile

place a kiss upon her cheek

and hold her for awhile

because remembering her is easy

I do it everyday

but there's an ache within my heart

that will never go away...

- Traci Marie Terrell
