Julia Mae Finley McQueen's earthly journey began on January 13th, 1937, in Sylacauga, Alabama to the parents of Julius Finley and Ethel Mae Brown Finley. Julia Mae accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She later became a Baptized member of Jehovah’s Witnesses where she faithfully served.
Julia Mae received her formal education in the Sylacauga City school system and became a graduate of East Highland High School, Sylacauga, Alabama.
Along Julia Mae’s life’s journey, she met and united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Ervin McQueen in 1962 to this union four children were born. Julie Moved to Rochester, New York in late 80’s. She worked at Bausch & Lomb for many years and worked at a laundry Mat as she had a passion for folding clothes and talking with customers.
Julie loved flower plants, antique flea markets, garage sales and being around her family. She moved back to Alabama with her husband in 1992. .Julie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and friend.
On December 9th, 2022, Julia Mae departed this walk of life under the care of Coosa Valley Medical Center, Sylacauga, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her father Julius Finley, mother, Ethel Mae Finley, brother, Julius Finley, Jr., son, Kenneth McQueen.
Her love will forever be cherished by her loving husband, Ervin McQueen; children, Cheryl Kimbrough, Michael Saddler, and Erwin McQueen, Jr.; grandchildren, LaKesha (Shango) Gibson, James (Samona) Kimbrough, JaQuan (Parnella) Larmond, Ebony McCrea, Shatifa Bliss, Erin McQueen, Erwin McQueen, Jennifer Saddler, Michele (Juan) Veggs, Michael Saddler, Jr., Chrissy Saddler, Shawn (Alicia) Debardelabon, Latoya Debardelabon, and Shay Debardelabon; and a host of other relatives and friends.
