Julius Holtzclaw, Sr. was born on May 6th, 1957 to the parentage of Robert Lee Holtzclaw and Claudean Hanyes in Elmore County, Alabama. Julius accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.
Julius received his formal education in the Elmore County School System and graduated from Elmore County High School. After school, Julius began his working career at Avondale Mills Inc. for 15 years.
Julius departed this walk of life on September 20th, 2022 under the care of Montgomery Medical. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claudean Hanyes and Robert Lee Holtzclaw, and a very special friend, Georgia Morris.
His love will forever be cherished by a loving wife, Catherine Holtzclaw; one daughter, Naketa (Zephery) Holtzclaw Hall; two sons, Julius (Jessica) Holtzclaw, Jr., and Larry (Christie) Kelley; three brothers, James Hollingquest, Robert Lee Holtzclaw, Jr., and Lester Holtzclaw; four sisters, Genice Holtzclaw, Anzie Holtzclaw, Gloria Daithitt, and Elizabeth Kelley; seven grandchildren, Markies J. Holtzclaw, Cedruice T. White, Julius J. Holtzclaw, Justin T. Holtzclaw, Na’Quisha Kelley, D’Ante Morris, and De’Ja Leonard; six great grandchildren; a special homeboy, Wanye Nettles and a host of other relatives and friends.
