Jackson Gap, Alabama - Kenneth Ray Smith began his earthly journey on January 11, 1991, in Sylacauga, Alabama. He was the beloved son of Eloise J. Smith and the late Gregory D. Swain, Sr.
Born in Alabama, Kenneth later moved to Florida as a young child, where he was raised and educated. He attended school throughout his life and proudly graduated from Oakridge High School in Orlando, Florida. Kenneth was known for his kind spirit, gentle heart, and deep love for his family.
Kenneth had a strong faith and was a devoted member of the Holiness Church. He truly loved attending church, lifting his voice in song, and spending time with those he loved most. His joy for worship and family gatherings brought comfort and happiness to everyone around him.
On December 17, 2025, Kenneth peacefully departed this life. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Timothy Smith and Carrie Oden; his father, Gregory D. Swain, Sr.; his sister, Otica Smith; and his aunts, Marilyn Oden and Debra Kelly.
Kenneth leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted mother, Eloise Smith of Jackson Gap, Alabama; his grandmother, Johnnie Mae (William) Wilson of Sylacauga, Alabama; his brother, Gregory (Tia) Swain, Jr. of Elgin, Illinois; his niece, Nubia Swain; his nephew, Gregory Swain III; four loving aunts, Renee Fryar of Apopka, Florida, Carolyn Wilkinson of Sylacauga, Alabama, Teresa Grayson and Jennifer (Reginald) Conley, both of Anniston, Alabama; eight uncles, Barry (Brenda) Oden of Anniston, Alabama, Timmie Lee Smith of Jackson Gap, Alabama, Anthony D. Oden of Jacksonville, Alabama, Terrance Oden of Elmore, Alabama, Phillip (Norshantay) Kelly and Stanley Wilkinson, both of Sylacauga, Alabama, Ronald (Linda) Wilkinson of Childersburg, AL; and Alex (Tara) Wilkinson, of Childersburg, AL, Alabama; and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Kenneth will be remembered for his loving heart, his faith, his beautiful spirit, and the joy he brought into the lives of all who knew him.
