Kimberly Ann Lawson was born on March 7, 1988 to parents Billy and the late Regina Lawson. Kimberly life was one of perseverance, laughter and love. At an early age, Kimberly exhibited high levels of intellect. She began reading at 3 years old and often was caught reading the newspaper. She liked reading the dictionary to learn new words. She had a way for getting people interested in learning new things.
Kimberly was a Fayetteville High School graduate. After graduation, she worked and attended nursing school. She had a strong desire for travel and independence, despite some of the challenges she faced. She pursued a devoted relationship with the Lord. She will always be remembered for her love of family and her fearless approach to life.
Kimberly departed this walk of life on January 27, 2021 at UAB Medical Center, Birmingham, AL.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Regina Dale Averitte - Mancilla.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her loving father, Billy Lawson; grandparents, Booker T. Burns, Vonsil Kelly, Earnest (Dorothy) Averitte; four brothers, Billy J. (Courtney) Lawson, Justin P. (Kimberly) Lawson, Jamal Cohill, and Zadarius Lawson; three sisters, Vanity Lawson, Brianna Lawson, and Bonnie Lawson; eight aunts, Veda M. Averitte, Karen (Clayton) Law, Felicia (Jonathan) Cook, Pamela (Kevin) Brooks, Rita (Bryant) Stevens, Ruby Burns, Sheila Bruno, and Ethel Bruno; five uncles, Earnest O. (Detrel) Averitte, Ken (Tiffany) Averitte, Stanley Bruno, Clyde Bruno, and Phillip Bruno; four great aunts, Virgina Averitte, Lula M. Cook, Gloria J. Harris, and Willie M. Harris; two great uncles, K.C. Harris and Clarence Harris; three nieces, two nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
