Laurence Anthony (Tony) Hall was born April 19th, 1961, in Pontiac, Michigan to Lew Jean Hall and Laura Ellen Shorter Hall. He accepted Christ as a child and was a member of Bethlehem Temple in Pontiac, Michigan. He was a 1979 graduate of Thomas M. Cooley High School. After graduation he studied Electronics at Eastern Michigan University, Wayne State Community College and Henry Ford College.
He was employed with Murray’s Auto Parts until he started working as a self-employed Mechanic.
Tony loved meeting people. Anyone needing mechanical work, he was there for them. He was the best! Some of his other favorite things were Parliament and the Funkadelics, Eating, Video game, Chess and Cards. He called himself a “Card-ologist”.
Tony, transitioned from this life on May 9th, 2022, after a short illness under the care of Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Lew Jean and Laura Shorter, his sister, Eugenia Marie Hall.
He leaves to cherish his memories five sisters, Elizabeth (Rev. Everett) Kelley of Hughesville, MD, Patricia Kelley and Veronica Kelley both of Sylacauga, AL, Angela (Derek) McLendon of Bryans Road, MD, and Cheryl (Richard) Calvin of Plano, TX; three brothers, Ivan (Jeanette) Russell of Pontiac, MI, Trent Hall of Colleyville, TX, and Lew Leslie (Ria) Hall of Plainfield, IL; two aunts, Bessie (Wilbur) Patterson of Sylacauga, AL, and Nettie McGhee of Los Angeles, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special cousins, Edward and Mickey Lowe of Detroit, MI; special friends, Victor Harper, Mildred Scott and The Gayden brothers, Jesse, Lester, Humphrey and Raymond.
