Lawrence D. Taylor, Jr.

Mr. Lawrence D. Taylor, Jr. earthly journey began on October 7, 1943 to the union of Lawrence D. Taylor, Sr. and Lena Bell Woods-Taylor in Talladega County, Alabama.

Lawrence accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, at an early age and united with Tallassahatchie Missionary Baptist Church, Childersburg, Alabama.  In Lawrence’s early years he was educated in the Talladega County School System and attended Phyllis Wheatley High School, Childersburg, Alabama.

Lawrence was a dedicated employee and retired with Talladega County CourtHouse, Talladega, Alabama as a custodian. 

Lawrence departed this walk of life on November 28, 2021 under the care of Coosa Valley Healthcare Center, Sylacauga, Alabama.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence D. Taylor, Sr. and Lena Bell Woods-Taylor, many other relatives.

Lawrence’s love and memories will forever be remembered and cherished by two brothers, Joe Bob (Glenda Faye) Taylor of Skokie, ILL and Robert Paul (Jenny) Swain of Harpersville, AL; six sisters, Barbara Swain of Sylacauga, AL; Patricia McKinney of Childersburg, AL; Myrtis (James) Jones of Douglasville, GA; Mary Louise (Pearly) Battle of Childersburg, AL; Eloise McNealey of Huntsville, AL; and Geraldine (Jerry) Hoyett of Sylacauga, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
