Harpersville, Alabama - Brother Leo “Tiny” Chancellor was born on February 3, 1960 in Wilsonville, Alabama. He peacefully departed this earth on June 1, 2026, in the comfort of his own home and supervision of his wife and Southern Care New Beacon.
In his early life, he grew up in the small town of Wilsonville, Alabama. He was a well known athlete of Shelby County High School. During his early life, he was able to create lifelong friendships and bonds with countless individuals that lasted throughout his life. He went on to graduate Shelby County High School with te class of 1978. Soon after, he enlisted into the United States Navy and proudly served his country.
He went on to meet the love of his life Mrs. Cathline Norwood Chancellor. She and many others who has grown to love him would describe him as being hardworking, caring, loving, brave, confident, and a very outspoken individual. Brother Chancellor has always been a great husband and father that would do anything in his powers to ensure that his family never went without. He has always had a passion for cooking whether it was on the stove or his favorite the grill. He always wanted to ensure that everyone ate and was satisfied with his cooking. Also, he enjoyed taking trips, watching sports (Roll Tide), and spending time hanging out with family and friends.
He was the son of the late Mable Chancellor of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and late Loree Chancellor of Wilsonville, Alabama. He was one of five brothers, late Royth Chancellor (wife Gwendolyn) of Wilsonville, Alabama, Joyth Chancellor (wife Gwen) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania, Eugene Chancellor of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Walter Chancellor of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
He was happily married to Cathline Chancellor of Childersburg, Alabama for 39 years. Also, he was the proud father of two kids, Tiffany Norwood, and Leo Chancellor, Jr. (Myisha Roper). He also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Reginald Evans (Corrinna Cater), Cendarius Evans (Bailey McKinney), and Jayden Chancellor; two great grandchildren, Jaiden Carter and Raliegh Evans; two God Children, Cierra Norwood, and Ivan Williams.
