Leon Spidell

Mr. Leon Spidell was born on September 5, 1946, to the union of the late Leonard and the late Nellie Spidell of Sylacauga, Alabama.

Leon confessed Christ at a young age and worshiped at New Hope Baptist Church as a young man.  He attended Phyllis Wheatley School in Childersburg, Alabama and worked for Bob Holmes, Boat Company until his retirement.

Leon who was affectionately known as “Lee” enjoyed fishing during his spare time.

Mr. Spidell departed this life for his heavenly home on December 10, 2020 and was preceded in death by his parents Leonard & Nellie, three brothers, Leonard Jr., Otis, and Joe Spidell.

He leaves to cherish his memory, four children: Carolyn (Santana) Carter, Felicia McKinney, Tiffany McKinney and Brandon Wilson all of Childersburg, AL; two sisters, Shirley Snow of Sylacauga, AL; and Fannie Brown of Detroit, MI; two brothers, Willie Spidell of Louisville, KY; and Walker Spidell of Detroit, MI; six grandchildren, special family, parents Mr. and Mrs. Bob Holmes; special brother, Mike Denham; special friends, Debbie McGhee and Ronnie Russin, all of Sylacauga, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
