Levelma (Longmile) Wilson

Mrs. Levelma Longmile Wilson, daughter of the late Clarence Longmile, Sr. and Kellie Strong Longmile was born July 24, 1949, in Goodwater, Alabama.  At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Marietta Baptist Church in Goodwater, Alabama.  Her Christian journey continued at the Pine Grove Baptist Church in Sylacauga, Alabama. 

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Theotis Wilson on May 15, 1976, a beautiful union of 44 years. 

She was employed at Russell Mills in Sylacauga, AL for over 30 plus years. 

At Pine Grove Baptist Church, Levelma served faithfully as a church member and dedicated Chairwoman of the Kitchen/ Hospitality Committee.  The "boss" as she was affectionately called, generously shared her talents, giving spirit and pleasant personality.  She was loved by many.  Her Christian life was as beautiful as the food the she prepared with love, and her dedicated influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.  A faithful wife and friend, she quietly departed this life and answered the Lord's call on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.  She was preceded in death by her beloved sisters, Kellie L. McKenzie and Delois L. Long.  

Her beautiful life will be eternally cherished in the life of her devoted husband, Theotis Wilson; step-daughter, Lanessa Sheree Cook; five grandchildren; one brother, Clarence Longmile of Sylacauga, AL; five nieces, Lawanda Longmile, Nadia Longmile, Natasha Longmile, and Latonical (Lamar) Edwards all of Sylacauga, AL; Nikia (Terrance) Price of Fletcher, NC; two brother in laws, George Wilson of Sylacauga, AL; Marty (Marian) Wilson of Sylacauga, AL; six sister in laws, Marie Borden, Marion (Ulysses) Threatt, Jr., Vanessa (Henry Joe) Scott, Margaret (Dexter) McElrath Sr., Marsha (Antonio) Threatt and Alexis Lockhart, all of Sylacauga, AL; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
