Mr. Lewis Wilson life’s journey began on September 5, 1939 in Fayetteville, Alabama. Mr. Wilson was the beloved son of the late Cunningham (Tack) Wilson and Sudie B. Hancock Wilson.
At the age of 10 years old, Mr. Lewis accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with Talladega Springs C.M.E. He later moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and joined Fellowship Tabernacle and was a faithful member. He later joined the deacon board for many years. He returned back to Alabama in 2001 and united his faith with St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama. Where he was a part of the Assistant Treasurer and member of the Pastor Aide.
Mr. Lewis was very fun of all sports and had a passion for Golf. He played golf from 1960’s until 1980’s when he was forced to take a step back because of his back injuries.
Along Mr. Lewis' life's journey he met the love of his life Ms. Daisy M. Borden, they united in Holy Matrimony on March 23, 1973 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Lewis departed this walk of life on June 27, 2024 under the care of Brookwood Baptist Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cunningham Wilson and Sudie B. Wilson, siblings, Pecolia (Martin) Franklin, Frances (James) Morant, Bernice (Norman) Berger, Evelyn Wilson, Otis (Hannah) Wilson, Frank (Mamie) Wilson, Cleve (Bessie) Wilson, Arthur (Ada Mae) Wilson, Webster (Lorene) Wilson, William (Beatrice) Wilson, and Bloys (Louise) Wilson; Brother in laws, Leonza Borden, Johnny E. (Lillian) Borden, Frank (Doris) Borden, Jr., Roy Chester Borden, and Billy W. Borden, and other relatives.
His love will forever be cherished by his loving step children, Dorothy M. Carter, Ray C. (Monalita) Borden, Alfred L. Cook, Calvin (Willie Dell) Cook, and Edward (Ramona) Cook; one brother in law, Terry Borden; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
