Lisa Ann (Edge) Hamilton

Sylacauga, Alabama - Lisa, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, departed this walk of life on July 31, 2024 surrounded by her family.  She was born to the late Richard Wyatt Edge, and Norma Dean Edge (Price). 

Lisa attended Vincent Middle/High School, where she made many cherished memories with classmates and friends.  From a young age, Lisa was deeply in love with James E. Hamilton, Sr. who later became her husband and lifelong companion.  They were blessed in marriage with 42 beautiful years.  James often called her his hero.  Their love was an inspiration to all who knew them. 

Lisa was happiest when she was surrounded by her family, whether on road trips or simply spending time together at home.  Family was the center of her life, and the joy and warmth were felt by everyone she met. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Wyatt Edge and Norma Dean Edge (Price), her sister, Alice Janet, her brother, Richard Edge (Ricky), her sister, Barbara Edge Mills, her husband, James Earl Hamilton, Sr., and her daughter, Lisa Michelle Hamilton “Honeybun”.

Her love will forever be cherished by loving daughters, April Hill, Shelly Hamilton, Jamie Honeycutt (Wade), and Ashley Peters (Josh); loving son, James Hamilton, Jr., “J.J.” (Angie-Roxanne); brother, Marion “Dale” Brown; her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Anna (A.J) - Legend, Princeton, Joshua, Amber, Mathew, Trey, Lexi, Alondra, Aidan, Ashley (Josh) - Jackson, Wyatt, Lori, Autumn - I.J, La’Ki, Austin - Little Man, and K.J.; her nieces and nephews, Terri Myers, Richard Myers, Alishia Goff, James Edge, and Michael Franklin;

Lisa will be deeply missed, but her spirit and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.  Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her.
