Lorean B. Smith

On Tuesday, March 8th, 2022, at 11:30 p.m., Mrs. Lorean B. Smith was called home to her eternal rest. She was born Lorean Milliner to the union of Marion Milliner and Sara Vaughn Milliner on Tuesday, September 13, 1927, in Alexander City, Alabama. 

Lorean found God at an early age and was the co-founder of the Apostolic Tried and Rejected Stone Church of the Lord Jesus in Childersburg, Alabama.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking for her family and friends, and spending time with her church family.  Lorean loved children dearly and shared a special relationship with each one she touched.  She will be remembered for her loving smile and warm, welcoming spirit.

Lorean was preceded in death by her loving husband, Overseer Raymond W. Smith; her five brothers, John Henry Milliner, Charlie Milliner, Olin Milliner, Sam Milliner, and Burley Milliner; her two sisters, Everline Milliner and Texie M. Russell. 

She leaves to mourn her four children, Carlos R. Smith and his fiancée Jo Greer of Louisville KY; Lt. Colonel Nicole Bohannon of Washington DC; Lee V. Smith of Fort Wayne, IN; and Corine Smith of Childersburg AL; 21 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and a host of Godchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
