Lovoloa Holtzclaw Obituary

Born Lovoloa Ann Cooke on September 4, 1961 to the parents of the late Joe F. and Helen King Cooke of Sylacauga, Alabama.  She departed earthly life on Thursday September 3, 2020.

She confessed Christ and joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, where she remained a member until God called her home.

Lovoloa was a free spirit who loved life and lived with all the zeal she could muster.  We called her Whoop because she was a fighter...in every sense of the word.  If you've ever had a fight with Whoop you soon found that the task at hand was not so easy.  She didn't back down and she never gave in.

Whoop grew up in Sylacauga, Alabama where he attended School and married  the late Thomas Holtzclaw.  She traveled and and lived in Cleveland, OH for a time before returning home to Sylacauga.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joe F. and Helen King Cooke; grandparents Frank and Aurelia Wilson King; and brother Rodney D. Cooke.

Lovoloa's (Whoop's) loving memories will forever be cherished by four brothers Brian C. (Terri) Cooke of Sylacauga, AL;  Warren T. Cooke of Ozark, AL;   Stacey (Gail) Cooke of Akron, OH;  Marvin C. Cooke of Houston, TX; and sister Rhonda G. Cooke of Clinton Township, MI;  Nieces Brianna of Sylacauga, AL; Tanisha M. Cooke of Honolulu, HI; Ericka Cooke of Norfolk VA; nephews, Rodney D. Cooke, Jr. (Jasmine) of Richmond, VA; Jacobe Cooke of Sylacauga, AL; aunts, Hattie M. King of Tuskegee, AL; and Annie Pearl Allen of Atlanta, GA; Mary Cooke of Sylacauga, AL; a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and and friends. "To know her was to love her"
