Lula Mae (Johnson) Stickland

Sylacauga, AL - Celebration of Life for Mrs. Lula Mae Johnson Strickland, age 89, will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 1:00PM. at Community Funeral Home Chapel, Sylacauga, AL. Rev. Pearson McGhee, Officiating.  Interment will be held in Sylacauga Cemetery, Sylacauga, AL.  Visitation will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021  1:00PM to 7:00PM at Community Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lula Mae Johnson Strickland was born December 14, 1931 to the parentage of the late Scott and Lula Johnson.

Lula Mae Johnson Strickland, a grandmother, great grandmother and aunt accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with Shiloh Baptist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama.

Mrs. Strickland departed this walk of life on Saturday, April 17, 2021 under the care of Sylacauga Health and Rehab. 

Mrs. Strickland was a devoted and loving wife to the late Mr. Clifford C. Strickland who preceded her in death. She was the mother of three children that preceded her in death, Shirley Ann McNeal, Mattie McNeal McElrath, and Shelby Wayne McNeal.

Her love and memories will always be remembered and cherished by four devoted grandchildren, Pamela MeElrath, Shirley Anne McElrath, Audrea Riggins, and Christopher Michael McElrath all of Sylacauga, AL; eight great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
