Makahia Simone Wheeler earthly journey began on June 13, 2002, to the parentage of Christopher Wheeler and Latrina Taylor White in Sylacauga, Alabama.
Makahia accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and united with Greater New Hope Baptist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama. She was a part of the Great New Hope youth choir and dance team. Makahia received her formal education in the Talladega County School System and became a 2020 graduate of Childersburg High School, Childersburg, Alabama. She furthered her education and attended Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) before transferring to Troy University in August 2021.
Makahia was a dedicated employee with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota. Makahia always had the best personality and smile that would light up a room. She loved her family and her family loved her.
Makahia departed this walk of life on January 1st, 2022, under the care of St. Vincent St. Clair Medical Center, Pell City, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, James Pope and Joseph Ellis, great grandmothers, Patsy Knight, and Lillian Robinson.
Makahia love and precious memories will forever be cherished by her parents, Latrina T. (Kimani) White of Alpine, AL, and Christopher Wheeler of Sylacauga, AL; two brothers, Jadan Wheeler of Birmingham, AL, and Joshua Wheeler of Sylacauga, AL; three sisters, Imani White of Alpine, AL, Kianderia White of Sylacauga, AL, and Lexus Williams of Birmingham, AL; grandparents, Katie Taylor of Childersburg, AL, Janice (Richard) Threatt of Sylacauga, AL, Andrea Ellis of Childersburg, AL, and Maretta White of Sycamore, AL; God Mother’s, Selina Taylor of Childersburg, AL, and Candace Vincent of Sylacauga, AL; a special cousin, Dia (Joshua) Wallace of Vincent, AL; and a host of uncles, aunts, other relatives, classmates and friends.
