Marcus DeNontae Fair Obituary

On July 18, 1989, Mr. Marcus DeNontae “Justin” Fair began his earthly journey in Birmingham, Alabama to the parents of Marvin A. Fair and Maria McGinester Balentine.  Marcus was affectionately known as Justin by family and friends.

At an early age Justin accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Harpersville, Alabama.  He received his formal education in the Talladega County school System and was a graduate of Childersburg High School, class of 2007. He furthered his education and attended Alabama State University, Montgomery, Alabama.

Justin began his working career shortly after receiving his education and was employed with NSE, Talladega, Alabama, Bridgewater, Bynum, Alabama and later the United States Postal Office, Birmingham, Alabama.

Justin had a passion for writing poetry, singing and dancing.  He was a fluent trumpet player and often loved to cook. Justin’s love for people never allowed him to meet a stranger.  He always kept you laughing and was full of energy and enthusiasm.  He loved entertaining family and friends.

On Wednesday, April 5, 2023, Justin traded his earthly journey for eternal rest, reuniting with his grandparents, Willie Fair and Vera Fair, aunts, Kimberly Fair, Annette Dove, and Diane Leonard, two uncles, Willie Author Fair and Ivan Patrick Fair, one niece, Breanna Benson Fair.
