Mary Frances R. Borden affectionately called “Frances”, was born on February 27, 1952 in Sylacauga Alabama, the seventh of nine children to Mr. Livingston Riggins Sr. and Mrs. Rosie Wilson Riggins.
Frances accepted Christ at a very early age at New Hope Baptist Church, but later moved her membership to Greater New Hope Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until she became ill.
Frances was educated at Cedar Creek Elementary School, Phyllis Wheatly High School, graduating from B.B. Comer High School.
Frances was employed by Avondale Mills for a number of years and Kimberly Clark before retiring to private sitting.
Frances loved softball and was an outstanding player who played several positions.
Upon answering her Master’s call on Saturday March 20, 2021, Frances accepted her heavenly wings to join her parents; husband Bennie J. Borden Sr.; daughter Jasmine Borden; sister, Mildred Riggins Seabon and brother, Livingston Riggins Jr.
Frances’s memories will be forever cherished and remembered by: her loving son, Bennie J. Borden Jr of Sylacauga AL, loving adopted son Revish Peoples of Childersburg, AL; five grandchildren: Azekiel Borden, Aniyah Dates of Sylacauga AL, Shacari Hutchins, Legacy Borden of Rome GA and Kamocia Billups of Norfolk, VA; three great grandchildren: Brooklyn Borden, Khloe Swain and Cyncere Swain; three loving and devoted sisters: Josie Waver and Peggy Patterson of Sylacauga AL, Sadie Hale of Detroit MI; three loving brothers: David Riggins (Amy), Portland OR, Leon Riggins and Michael Riggins (Sheila) of Vancouver WA; one adopted sister: Frances Clisby Townsend of Childersburg AL; two sister in laws: Angela P. Scott (Andy) and Pricilla Borden of Sylacauga AL; three brother in laws: Jim Borden Jr (Bonnie), Clyde Borden (Francine) and Donald Borden all of Sylacauga AL; three special friends: Essie Morris, Pearlie McKenzie and Shirley Snow; her devoted church family; A sweet loving devoted friend/caretaker Vanessa Jones and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
