Funeral services for Mrs. Maybelline Chapman Martin, of Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at 4 PM in the C. D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home in Dublin. Reverend Warren Harris will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow graveside services on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 1 PM at the Coosa Valley Baptist Church Cemetery, 177 Church Road in Vincent, Alabama. Reverend Willie J. Posey will be the eulogist. Masks and social distancing will be required for both events. 

Mrs. Maybelline Chapman Martin was born on June 6, 1941, in Tarrant, Jefferson County, Alabama. She attended Vincent Elementary School and graduated in 1959 from Shelby County Training School in Columbiana, Alabama. Maybelline and her husband, Noah, relocated to Dublin, Georgia, from Cleveland, Ohio, after her husband retired from Republic Steel in Cleveland, Ohio. She was employed by Biljo, Inc., for a number of years, and by Laurens County Convalescent Home until retirement. Later she returned to the workforce with Watkins Personal Care Home until her health failed. 

Upon returning to Georgia, she and her husband were reunited at Holly Spring Baptist Church. Later, she became a member of Byrd Hill Baptist Church where she served as an usher.  
Mrs. Martin transitioned on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. She will truly be missed by her family and friends. 

Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Edward Chapman and Alberta McKenzie Chapman, and her husband of 25 years, Noah Martin, sisters, Frankie Fair, Annie Sue Datcher, Katie Mae O’Neal, Alberta Gordon, brothers, Charlie Chapman, Chester Chapman, and Sherman Chapman, and by one stepson, Wayman Lattimore. 

Mrs. Martin is survived by one stepson, Milton Martin of Cleveland, Ohio, and one stepdaughter, Willie Ruth Jackson of Dublin, Georgia, a sister-in-law, Betty Jean Chapman of Alabama, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, including special nieces, Mae Hugh Kidd of Vincent, Alabama, Annie Lois Martin of Dublin, Georgia, Maybelline Sampson of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Rose Chapman of Acworth Georgia, special nephews, Benny Wright and Lamar Martin of Dublin, Georgia, Vernon Kidd of San Francisco, California, and Hugh Kidd, Sr., of Fairfield, California.
