Michael B. (Newt) Kidd

Michael B. Kidd affectionatley known as “Newt,” was born August 4, 1942 in Talladega County, Alabama. 

Parentage M.L. Kidd and Bessie Mae Kidd and Laura Brown.

Despite his disabilities, he was able to work at the Shell Cast Inc. and the Georgia Marble Quarry. Newt was loved by everyone in the community. He loved music and being around friends and family and greeted everyone with a “ I appreciate you”.

He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church of Sylacauga, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his father, M.L. Kidd, mother, Laura Brown, and sister, Verdia Mae Kidd.

“Newt” leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Bessie Mae Kidd; siblings, Gary Ann Thomas-Clark, Callie Jackson (Thomas), Glenda King, Glenn Ray King, Timmie Kidd (Jessie), Diane Miller, Joe Simmons (Stacy), Johnny Kidd (Stacia), Hattie Burns, Mildred Funderburg (Rodney), Tony Kidd (Linda), Michael Kidd (Keisha), Sheila Kidd, and Cedric Kidd; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
