Michael Anthony Bledsoe Obituary

Sylacauga, Alabama - Michael Anthony Bledsoe, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, was born on May 29, 1983, to Janice Bledsoe in Sylacauga, Alabama. On December 17, 2025, at the age of 42, Michael peacefully answered the Master’s call and entered eternal rest.

At the age of three, Michael was lovingly adopted and raised by his maternal grandparents, Mr. Hugh and Mrs. Mae Lois Bledsoe, who nurtured him with unwavering love and guidance. He was later embraced and supported by his devoted stepfather, David Wilson.

Michael received his early education in the Sylacauga City School System, where he also developed a love for baseball, playing on several teams before graduating in 2001. After high school, he continued his education at Central Alabama Community College. Throughout his life, Michael worked various jobs across Talladega County, always known as a dependable and hardworking man.

Above all else, Michael treasured time spent with his children. He found joy in fishing, cooking, and creating lasting memories with his family. His love for his children was evident in everything he did.

Michael leaves to cherish his precious memories his five children: Alexis, King, Devion, Michael, and Michala; his biological mother, Janice Bledsoe Wilson; and his siblings: Hugh Terry Bledsoe of Sylacauga, AL; Linda Bledsoe; Willie Dwight (Donna) Bledsoe of Detroit, MI; Barbara Bledsoe Terrell (Bishop Raymond) of Clarksville, TN; Traci Bledsoe Jones (Carlos) of Athens, AL; and Joel Jones (Valencia), Sylacauga, AL.

He is also survived by a loving host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family, including his special nephews Rhashad Terrell, Darryl Bledsoe, and Peter Williams, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Bledsoe; his stepfather, David Wilson; his brother, Michael Bledsoe; and his aunts, Ruth Jones and Faye Roberson.

Michael Anthony Bledsoe will be lovingly remembered for his kindness, unwavering integrity, and deep devotion to his family. His laughter, wisdom, and warm smile were gifts to all who knew him, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he loved.

“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”

2 Corinthians 5:8
