Minister Stephanie Vontreece (Red Carpet) Borden

Minister Stephanie Vontreece Borden’s earthly journey began on September 25, 1979 in Sylacauga, Alabama, she was the oldest daughter to the proud parents of Mr. Clyde Borden and Mrs. Francine Brown Borden.

Stephanie received Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age in life. She later united her faith with Liberty Christian Church, under the leadership of Bishop Theoangelo Perkins.  Where she serves as a faithful and devoted member. She was a part of the Liberty Church Choir, served with the youth department, and trustee board. She was affectionately known by the pastor and members as “Red Carpet Borden”.  Stephanie stood before the congregation, family and friends and preached the Gospel, and became an Licensed Ordained Minister. 

Stephanie received her education in the Talladega County School System and graduated with the class of 1999 at Winterboro High School.  She furthered her education and attended Central Alabama Community College and later Alabama State University where she graduated from them both. After graduating she was employed with Talladega County Central High School, Birmingham City School System, and recently Talladega City School System.  She was a faithful employee with Walmart Supercenter Sylacauga Store #0730.

Stephanie was an avid Alabama State University (AU) and Alabama Crimson Tide fan. She was a steadfast, talented, excellent, passionate, honest, anointed, noble, intelligent, educator, victorious, blessed, outstanding, righteous, delightful, eager and nourishing person. She loved her family, church family and friends.

Stephanie departed this walk of life on December 1, 2023 under the care of Ascension St. Vincent Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jim Borden, Emma Myrick-Borden, and James Brown, Sr.

Her love will forever be cherished by her loving parents, Clyde and Francine Borden of Sycamore, AL; loving grandmother, Kay Frances Brown of Gadsden, AL; four brothers, Kenyatta (Kim) Brown, Jarkarta (Crystal) Borden, Steven (Lydia) Borden, and Jarred Borden; three sisters, Candice Borden, Andrea Borden, and Amber Borden; bonus sister, Adrian A. (Darryl) Kidd; special friend, Mashonda Truss; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, church family and friends.
