Talladega, Alabama - Mrs. Peggy Sue Coleman earthly journey began on August 4, 1958. She was the beloved daughter of Leonard Taylor and Fannie Mae Pointer Taylor who both preceded her in death.
Peggy Sue, as she was affectionately known, received her education in the Talladega County School System and graduated from Winterboro High School with the class of 1976.
Peggy Sue, a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend was known to be the best cook in Talladega County. She had a heart of Gold and didn’t mind offering a meal to the community. She had a beautiful smile that was evidence of her genuine happiness. To know Peggy Sue, was to love her unconditionally.
July 23, 2024, Peggy Sue graciously accepted God’s gentle hand as he called her home, at her residence in Talladega, Alabama, surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Taylor and Fannie Mae Taylor, daughter, Andrea Coleman, grandchild, Dejore Cook, and other relatives.
Her love will forever be cherished by her loving children, Monteia (Tammy) Coleman, Andre Coleman (Mecaela Antoine), Shanika Coleman; siblings, Julius (Joyce) Taylor, John T. (Tankia) Taylor, Charlie C. Taylor, Rosa Dates, Lottie (William) Twymon, Flora Hutchinson, Hattie Colley, Willie Bell Taylor, Sarah Fuller, and Rita Taylor; grandchildren, Dejore Cook, Nyla Alexea, Milan King, Sa’Rai Harvey, Ty’Daja Coleman (Jason Harvey), and Jaydin Coleman; and a host of other relatives and friends.
