Mr. Raymond Morris was born July 16, 1954 in Talladega, AL to the union of William H. Morris and Vera Collins.
He was baptized at an early age at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Talladega, AL. As an adult he joined Rocky Mount Baptist Church, where he sang in the Male Chorus. He was educated in the Talladega City school system. He worked at Toney Kirk's Store on Knox Street as a young man. As an adult he worked in the yarn mills and foundry and later became a self employed master carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Vera Morris, brothers, Lou Gene Bradford, and Claude Morris, one son, Timothy Robinson and one daughter, Maria Antoinette Robinson.
Mr. Morris departed this walk of life on May 24, 2020 at his residence, Talladega, AL.
He leaves to cherish his memories four sons, Dallas (Amy) Robinson, Clinton (Nell) White, Raymond Morris, Jr. of Talladega, AL; and Levert (Karyn) Duncan of Huntsville, AL; three daughters, Tikysha Robinson, Monique Morris, and Portia Morris all of Talladega, AL; eight sisters, Peggy Kelly, Levoid Lawler, Lillie Ward, Brenda (Clarence) Story, Juanita Morris, Ruth (Jack) Turner, Mary Alice Morris, Gaynell Jackson all of Talladega, AL; one brother, Jerome Morris of Talladega, AL; fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, loving partner in life, Sarah Williams of Talladega, AL; and a host of other relatives and friends.
