Robert Pope

Robert Pope earthly journey began on August 14th, 1948 in Talladega County, Alabama to the parents of Sam and Lucille Pope.  He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and united with Enon Missionary Baptist Church, Childersburg, Alabama. 

Robert received his formal education in the Talladega County School System and attended Phyllis Wheatley High School in Childersburg, Alabama. 

Robert departed this walk of life on December 22, 2022, at his residence in Childersburg, Alabama.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Lucille Pope, brothers, Louis Pope, Gary Wayne Pope, Joseph Pope, Sam Pope, Jerry Pope, and Lonza Frank Pope, sister, Beatrice Pope.

His love will forever be cherished by his siblings, Dora Pope Nix of Childersburg, AL, Clarence (Faye) Pope of Childersburg, AL, and Gene (Janet) Pope of Sylacauga, AL; one sister-in-law, Cathy P. Pope of Childersburg, AL; one loving aunt, Pearlie Mae (Joe) Ashley of Sylacauga, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
