Millerville, Alabama - Mr. Robert L. Simmons was born on June 9, 1941, in Millerville, Alabama, to the late George and Annie Ruth Simmons. He peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love.
Robert was a hardworking and devoted man who retired from Ace Products in Lineville, Alabama, after 35 years of faithful service. His strong work ethic and commitment were evident throughout his career.
At an early age, Robert accepted Christ and became a dedicated member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. He served faithfully as Treasurer for several years and was a devoted usher until his health no longer allowed him to continue. His service to the church reflected his deep faith and willingness to give back.
Robert found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing and gardening, often spending peaceful moments outdoors. Known for his gentle spirit, he was always pleasant to everyone he encountered. His warm presence and kind heart will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his devoted wife, Linda Simmons; one daughter, Rita (Lonnie) Hunter; one goddaughter, Lawanda (Mark) Heard; two brothers, Arthur (Pat) Simmons and John (Jo Catherine) Simmons; four sisters, Emma Zackery, Lillie (Henry) Alexander, and Martha (Jerome) Hammond; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; special friends, Eddie B. Simmons and Arthur Wilson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Robert’s life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will be forever loved and remembered.
