Robert Paul Swain

Robert Paul Swain was born on June 29, 1943, to the parentage of Bill Taylor and Lillian Swain in Shelby County, Alabama.

Robert confessed Christ as his Lord and savior at an early age and united with Bakers Grove Baptist Church, Vincent, Alabama.  He received his formal education in the Shelby County School System and graduated from Shelby County Training School with the class of 1961.

Along Robert’s life journey he met and united in Holy Matrimony to Jennie Stone on July 21, 1963.  Robert worked many years in the construction industry until his retirement.

Robert answered his master’s call at the age of 78, at his residence surrounded by his family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Taylor and Lillian Swain, son, Gary Swain, daughter, Faye Swain, brother, Lawrence Taylor, Jr.

His love will forever be cherished by his loving wife of 58 years, Jennie L. Swain, three children, Kenneth P. Swain, Patrick D. Swain, Kerry (Tonya) Swain; grandchildren, Derek (Whitney) Green, Keaundria L. Datcher, Kerstin (Robert) Goswick, LaShauna Swain  and Breana Swain; three great grandchildren, Isaac Goswick, Bryson Green, and Lincoln Goswick; seven sisters, Maggie Evans, Patricia Taylor, Eloise McNeely, Bobby Swain, Louise (Pearlie) Battle, Myrtice (James) Jones, and Geraldine (Jerry) Hart; two brothers, Joe Taylor and Theodore Swain; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and uncountable friends.
