Vincent, Alabama - Mr. Swain peacefully traded his earthly wings for heavenly rest on Tuesday, March 24, at Bullock County Hospital in Union Springs, Alabama.
He received his education at the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind in Talladega, Alabama, where he proudly graduated in 1996.
Mr. Swain was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Annie Bell Swain; his father, James Franklin; his sisters, Helen Swain, Rosa Lynn Franklin, and Anethel Brownlee; and his brother, Byron Franklin, all of whom welcomed him at the pearly gates of heaven.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories two devoted children, Rashard James and Dejuan James. He is also survived by his loving siblings: Sarah (Quincy) Garrett, Phyllis Franklin, Janet Threatt, Thomas (Maggie) Franklin, Alvin Franklin, and Charles (Georgia) Mitchell; one devoted aunt, Pastor Maudean Franklin; four special nieces, Quay Emmons (Jason), Symia Smith (Treston), Jamyrra (Desmond), and Shantay Franklin; and six special nephews, Quincy Jr., Quindarius, Jesiah, Asher, Darius Pierce, and Blake Cunningham.
He also leaves a longtime family friend, Rachel Pope (Spencer); dear friends, Marcus Washington, Brittany Hairston, Michelle Page, and Kayleen Perkins; a special cousin, keshia Hardie; a special person, Toni James, the mother of his children, and a loving friend, April James, along with a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
Mr. Swain will be remembered for his love of life, his kind spirit, and the joy he found in fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Though he is no longer with us in body, his love and memories will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and Loved him.
