Ms. Sarah Ann Holtzcalw Leonard earthly journey began on November 25, 1944 to the union of Willie Lindsey Holtzclaw and Virgiree Mathews Holtzclaw in Titus, Alabama.
At an early age Ms. Sarah Ann accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church and later united with True Light Community Church, Sylacauga, Alabama. Sarah Ann, received her education throughout the Sylacauga City School systems and graduated from East Highland High School with the class of 1966.
Along Sarah Ann's life's journey, she had various employment opportunities with Drew Court Child Development Center, Sylacauga Health Department, Hillwood Group Home Cheaha Mental Health Center, and Pinecrest Elementary School. She retired in 2008 from Hillwood Group Home and later retired in 2011 from Pinecrest Elementary School.
Sarah Ann departed this walk of life on Monday, November 22, 2021 at her residence in Sylacauga, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Lindsey Holtzclaw and Virgiree Mathews Holtzclaw, brothers, Earnest Bozeman and Thomas Ray Holtzclaw, one granddaughter, Maya D. Holtzclaw.
Sarah Ann’s love and precious memories will forever be cherished by her daughter, Veronica Holtzclaw of Sylacauga, AL; sons, Calvin (Temeka) Holtzclaw of Alexander City, AL; and Christopher DeWayne (Temeka) Holtzclaw of Goodwater, AL; siblings, Willie Holtzclaw of Sylacauga, AL; Ethel Hawkins of Sylacauga, AL; Jerry Holtzclaw of Marietta, GA; Geraldine (Edward) Holley of Sylacauga, AL; eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
