Sedrick Lashawn (Rambo) Glenn, Sr. earthly journey began on May 17, 1967 to the parentage of James and Irene Glenn of Sycamore, Alabama.
Sedrick, accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and united with Harper Springs Baptist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama. As a young man, Sedrick was educated through the Talladega County School System, where he graduated from Winterboro High School with the class of 1986. He furthered his education at Gadsden State Community College and graduated in 2003.
Sedrick, was a dedicated employee with Avondale Mills for 19 years. He was later employed with Anniston Army Depot for more than 19 years until his departure.
Sedrick was a loving companion, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He was a great person, always smiling and willing to lend a helping hand. He loves spending his spare time outdoors hunting, fishing, working, and raising his garden. He also had a special love and time for his children and grandchildren.
Sedrick departed this walk of life on October 17, 2021 under the care of O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB in Birmingham, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Irene Glenn, two brothers, William Earl Glenn, and James Edward Glenn, one sister, Flois Dean Player and one grandson, Cantrell Garrett.
His love and precious memories will forever be cherished by his loving and devoted wife of 35 years Glenda Cottingham of Sylacauga, AL; four daughters, Latoyia Cottingham of Sylacauga, AL; Lashawnda (Andre’) Miller of Leeds, AL; Catrina (William) Thompson of Sylacauga, AL; and Jordan Hargrove of Queencreek, AZ; three sons, Marcus (Monique) Cottingham of Sylacauga, AL; Sedrick (Caramela) Glenn, Jr. and Ohige (Winnetta) Glenn both of Sycamore, AL; grandchildren, Tyus, Serenity, Justin, Mazion, Exodus, JaKarriyan, Filiazha, William, Jr., Keilan, Ja’Myas; six sisters, Willa Lynman of Brockton, MA; Carolyn (Larry) Powell of Rockford, AL; Maurine (Ray) Borden of Talladega, AL; Angelette Ashley of Talladega, AL; Layunite (Kenneth) Estell of Childersburg, AL; and Audrey (Eddie) Duncan of Talladega, AL; five brothers, Billy (Cassandran) Wykoff of Winder, GA; Vernun (Loraine) Glenn of Talladega, AL; Horace (Ora) Glenn of Boynton Beach, FL; Allen (Marnetta) Glenn of Talladega, AL; and Percy (Sabrina) Glenn of Sylacauga, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
