Shannon Jackie Williams

Shannon Jackie Williams, 43, was born on May 17, 1980, at Fort Campbell Kentucky to Mr. Anthony Williams and the late Mrs. Brenda Poole McIntyre.

Shannon resided in Sylacauga, Alabama, from the age of four until his homegoing on Monday, August 21, 2023. Shannon accepted Christ as a child, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, under the pastorate of Reverend J. H. McIntyre Sr. Shannon rededicated his life to Christ at the Church of Christ under the leadership of Brother Andrew Thomas. Where he remained a member until his homegoing.

Shannon received his formal education through the Talladega school system at Braxton Bragg Comer Memorial High School (B.B. Comer), in Sylacauga, Alabama, where he was a member of the B.B. Comer Tigers football team. He was a member of the 1998 graduating class.

Shannon was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. If you knew Shannon, you knew he was very creative, caring, and energetic and always knew how to convey a positive vibe and spirit. He always had a listening ear and words of encouragement to anyone in need. He was affectionately known by his family and friends as “Shannon”, “Shannon Bone”, “Lump Head” and “Lump”. He loved his parents, siblings, children, and grandson dearly.

Shannon loved his dog Sasha, he loved watching movies, being outdoors, landscaping, fishing, spending time with his children and grandchildren and most of all he loved the Lord.

Shannon was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Brenda Poole McIntrye, Maternal grandmother, Mrs. Marie Poole Tucker, and Paternal grandmother, Ms. Landonia Agnes Williams. Shannon leaves to cherish his memories his father, Mr. Anthony Williams (Angela), brother, Shawn J. Williams, sister, Sarita J. Williams, sister Shavonne J. McCants (Keith), daughters, Kyesha A. Wilson, Jah’Ania L. Peterson, Taniya M. Williams and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Shannon will be greatly missed and never forgotten by his immediate and extended family in Baltimore, MD, New Castle, DE, and Sylacauga Alabama.
