Goodwater, Alabama - A precious one from us is gone, a voice we love is still, and a place is vacant in our home that can never be filled. On June 10, 1961, Simmie Anthony Hall, Sr. and Clemmie Dawson Hall welcomed their handsome baby boy, Simmie Anthony Hall, Jr. in Coosa County, Alabama. He departed this walk of life on December 11, 2024, under the care of Adams Nursing Home in Alexander City, Alabama.
Affectionately known as “Ankie” accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He united his faith and became a member of Paradise Mission Full Gospel Worship Center, Goodwater, Alabama. He was a product and received his education in Coosa County, Alabama at Goodwater High School.
Simmie was a dedicated employee with the Coosa County School System, where he worked in the cafeteria at Goodwater High School. To know him, was to love him and he was loved by all that he came in contact with and was often referred as “Uncle Ankie”.
Simmie was preceded in death by his father, Simmie Hall, Sr., his mother, Clemmie Hall, and one sister, Gale Hall. His love will forever be cherished by his three loving sisters, Penny (Nathan) Hall, Stacie Hall, and Bridgette Hall all of Goodwater, AL; seven nieces and nephews, Elliott Hall, Toney (Barbara) Hall, O’Brian Hall, Justin Odum, Ophelia (Aaron) Talley, Lakeitha (Tony) Hall, and Grace (Jimmy) Nickolson; seven great nieces, six great nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Celebration of life for Simmie Anthony Hall, Jr. “Ankie”, age 63, will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 1:00PM at Paradise Mission Full Gospel Worship Center, Goodwater, Alabama. Pastor Joey Belyeu, Eulogist. Public viewing will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, 1:00PM to 7:00PM at Community Funeral Home.
