Alexander City, Alabama - A precious one from us is gone, a voice we love is still, and a place is vacant in our home that can never be filled. On February 6, 1984, at Sylacauga Hospital Rebecca and the late Steven Jackson Smith proudly became the parents to Stephen Antonia Huntley.
Stephen received his education at Fayetteville High School, his dedication and involvement prepared him well to attempt new challenges with forethought. His desire to thrive with excellence was his foremost object in school. He graduated with the class of 2002 at Fayetteville High School.
At an early age, Stephen received Christ as his Lord and Savior. Stephen didn't only exist in life, but he lived life to the fullest. Stephen was a proud father. He understood what mattered in life and valued nothing more than fatherhood. The birth of his daughter, Brielle was the beginning of a new chapter in life for him.
July 15, 2024, Stephen graciously accepted God’s gentle hand as he called him home. He was preceded in death by his father’s, Steven Jackson Smith, and Jesse James Kelley, Sr., grandmothers, Cora Mae Huntley, Flora Mae Smith, and Annie Mae Kelley, grandfather, Willie Smith, two aunts, Claudia McGhee, and Earnestine Cook, uncles, Dennis Huntley, Thomas Garrett and Marcus Thompson.
