Steven Robinson, affectionately known by many as “Steal Head” or “Rob Snob,” was born on August 7, 1963, in Sylacauga, Alabama. He peacefully departed this walk of life on July 9, 2025, under the compassionate care of Russell Medical Center in Alexander City, Alabama.
Steven was a proud graduate of Sylacauga High School, Class of 1982. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and became a dedicated member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Sylacauga.
Answering the call to serve his country, Steven embarked on a distinguished military career in the United States Marine Corps. Rising to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant, he served faithfully for 23 years. Throughout his military journey, he earned numerous medals, badges, and decorations, a testament to his bravery, discipline, and unwavering commitment to duty. To know Steven was to know a true Marine—strong, steadfast, and honorable.
Beyond his service, Steven was a devoted family man. He was a strict but loving father, a steadfast brother, a cherished uncle, and a wonderful grandfather. For 40 years, he was a loyal and loving husband to his beloved wife, Alisa Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Robinson and Jim Simmons; his brothers, Ray Robinson, William Robinson, Roderick Robinson, and Jeffery Robinson; and his sister, Joanne Robinson.
Steven leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories in the hearts of his loved ones: his devoted wife, Alisa Robinson; two loving sons, Michael T. McCoy and Isaiah Robinson; one adored grandson, Isaiah Robinson; his loving brother, Chris Robinson; his sister, Dorthy Robinson; sisters-in-law, Allison Robinson and Stephanie Robinson; his dear aunt, Frances; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends who will forever honor and remember his life, laughter, and legacy.
Steven Robinson served with honor, loved with strength, and lived with purpose. He will be missed deeply and remembered always.
