Ms. Tamekia Tena Fluker earthly journey began on May 12, 1983, in Sylacauga, Alabama, to the parents of Dexter Youngblood and Cassandra Fluker.
Tamekia was the oldest child to Cassandra. She had the sweetest giving spirit and a heat of Gold. She shared in helping her mom with raising her brothers and other cousins. She was blessed with four beautiful children, and she enjoyed every moment in raising her blessings from above.
Tamekia received her formal education in the Sylacauga City School System and attended Sylacauga High School. Later she attended Job Corp, where she received career training and earned her high school diploma.
Tamekia was employed at Nemak of Alabama, in Sylacauga, Alabama for a few years before being a dedicated employee with Madix Warehouse in Goodwater, Alabama.
Tamekia departed this walk of life on February 26, 2024, at her residence, in Sylacauga, Alabama. In Heaven, she will join her brother, Nartavius Fluker, and aunt, Myra Fluker, grandmother, Mary Fluker, and other relatives.
Her love will forever be cherished by her loving children, Fredrick Powell, Deshawn Fluker, Jada Fluker, and Miracle Fluker; loving parents, Dexter (Melissa) Youngblood, and Cassandra Fluker; grandmother, Katie Youngblood; loving siblings, Justin Fluker, Octabius (Lashon) Barkley, Antonio (Sheila) Barkley, Kendra Harris, and Sheonta Ashley; aunts, Sheryl (Lonnie) Jennings, Larry Fluker, Barry (Lisa) Fluker, Anthony (Shaunta) Fluker, Terrance (Wendy) Fluker, and Shana Fluker; auntie, Stephanie Robinson, and Chewanda Pope; uncles, Fredrick Youngblood, and Karlos (Joan) Deyampert; special friends, Shameka Taylor, Quen Debardlabon, and Danielle Swain; and a host of other relatives and friends.
