Tommy Harbor's earthly journey began on August 6, 1957 to the parentage of the late Clifford Williams and the late Vera Mildred Dodd in Piedmont, Alabama.
At an early age, Tommy accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with Mt. Pleasant CME, Piedmont, Alabama and later with Haven United Methodist Church, Anniston, Alabama. As a youth he was educated in the Anniston City Schools and graduated from Anniston High School.
Tommy joined the United States Army in 1976, and later was honorably discharged. He later joined the workforce and became an employee of Alabama Power for several years.
Tommy’s love for people never allowed him to meet a stranger. To know him was to love him. He always kept you laughing and was full of energy. He loved entertaining family and friends.
Tommy departed this walk of life July 2, 2021 at his residence in Sylacauga, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vera Dodd and father, Clifford Williams, one grandson, Maurice Ware, Jr. and other relatives.
His love and precious memories will forever be remembered by his longtime companion, Jean Mathews of Sylacauga, AL; three children, Maurice (Kanda) Ware of Oxford, AL; Brittany McClain of Anniston, AL; and Tommy Harbor of Odena, AL; one sister, Superior Ann (Billy) Cobb of Piedmont, AL; four grandchildren, Markayla Ware, Kyera Tolbert, Ga’Bryle Roberts, and Christyn Keith; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
