Travis Olden Obituary

Travis Olden earthly journey began on July 1, 1949 in Sylacauga, Alabama.  Mr. Olden was the son of Willie Olden and Gracie Hawkins Olden who both preceded in death.

Travis was a proud graduate and alumni at East Highland High School.  He was a part of the East Highland Football, Baseball, Basketball and Track Team.  He continued his education at Nunnelley State Technical College in Childersburg, Alabama.

Tarvis accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age and united with St. Thomas United Methodist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama.

He enlisted in the United States Navy on May 27, 1969 and spent nearly two years of service. He was honorably discharged from the Navy on March 25, 1971.  He was a long time Certified Auto Body repairman, and Certified Welder.  Travis took a leap of faith and became an entrepreneur.  He often worked on different appliances such as washing machines, dryers, stoves and hot water Heaters.

Travis had a passion for making Bar BQ grills.  He was a friend to many.

He departed this walk of life on June 7, 2025 under the care of Bill Nichols State Veterans Home in Alexander City, Alabama.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Lyndale Olden.

Travis' love and memories will forever be cherished by his loving brothers, Willie Joe Olden, and Alphonza Olden; loving aunts, Alberta McCauley and Lois Hawkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
