Mr. Ulysses Matthew Threatt, Jr. was born on March 18, 1956, in Sylacauga, Alabama. He was the beloved son to Ulysses M. (Dorothy) Threatt, Sr. who both preceded him in death.
Jr. as he was affectionately known by family and friends, accepted Christ and joined Pine Grove Baptist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama. Faithful, dedicated, and committed to the ministry, he served and provided a multitude of services, and was available to be called for everything around the church.
Jr. was a product and graduate at B.B. Comer Memorial High School in Sylacauga, Alabama. He was a proud graduate with the class of 1974. After receiving his education, he was employed with Southern Alloy for twenty years.
Along Jr.’s life’s journey he met and united in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Marion Wilson. He had a heart of gold and was a light to all that he came in contact with. He didn’t meet a stranger. He loved his family, but most importantly he absolutely adored his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was the light of his wife’s life and was our own real-life superman.
Jr. departed this walk of life on Sunday, March 16, 2025, under the care of Brookwood Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents.
His love will forever be cherished by his beloved wife of 40 years, Marion Threatt; six children, Tavares (Yelana) Threatt, Ulysses (Angellaca) Threatt, III, Roy (Rebecca) Threatt, Michelle (Demond) Jones, Natasha Threatt, and Kristen (Mario) Threatt; loving siblings, Vanessa (Joe) Garrett, Jacqueline (Julius) Twymon, Veronica Turner, Thomas (Loretta) Threatt, Patsy (Myron) Kelley, Lesa (Norman) McNealey, Edwin (Marsha) Threatt, Tracy Threatt, and Eunice Parham, ; one Godbrother, William Wheeler; one adopted brother Dontavious Threatt; aunts, Louise Threatt, Gloria Threatt, Cornelia Cook, and Arletha Threatt; uncles, Larry (Mary) Threatt, and James Pope; eighteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren that he loved so dearly; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
