Valeria Oden Obituary

On November 9, 2018, Valeria Lisa Oden was called home to be with her Lord and Savior. She received the greatest grace of eternal peace, where there is no sadness or tears.

Valeria L. Oden was born August 5, 1963, to the late Bessie Mae Cannon Oden and Franklin Maxwell.  She accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until her transition.

 Valeria was a native of Sylacauga, AL, and attended Sylacauga High School. She attended Central Alabama Community College, where she received her education.

Valeria worked in the manufacturing and automotive industry most of her life. She was employed at WKW Automotive at the time of her death. Her hobbies were gardening and decorating. Valeria or LC as so many fondly called her, was an absolutely stunning invidiual who lived her life with no regrets.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Mae Cannon Oden and eldest sister, Patricia Twyman.

Her life, precious memories, radiant smile, and her willingness to help others will always be remembered and cherished by: her devoted and loving daughters, Surmoan Oden of  Birmabama,AL, Aviance (Cory) Britt of Davenport, IA; father, Franklin Maxwell of Sylacauga, AL; one sister, Bessie L. Oden of Sycamore, AL; three beloved grandsons, Ashton Oden of Birminghame, AL, Collins and Greyson Britt both of Davenport, IA; three newphews, Tory Twyman of Atlanta, GA, LaCorbin Twyman of Sylacauga, AL, and Shawn Oden of Sycamore, AL. Special sisters Jackie Duncan, Monica Floyd, Angela Cannon, Rose Marie Garrett, and Gennice Brown. Aunts, Geraldine (Fred) Borden, Gloria Slaughter, Marie Reynolds, Mary Stern, Ruth Anderson, and Sallie Pope.  Mother figure, Bettye Townsend;  and a host of beloved relatives and friends.
