Victoria Donethia Murray

Victoria Donethia Murray the beloved daughter of Donald G. Murray and Sandra Alexander - Murray's earthly journey began on September 7, 2005 in Birmingham, Alabama. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and united with Lilly Chapel AME Methodist Church, York, Alabama.  She was later baptized on March 15, 2023 at Children’s Hospital of Alabama.  

Victoria received her formal education at Vincent Elementary/ High School, Linda Nolen Learning Center and Chelsea High School, where she recently passed to the 11th grade with honors.  Victoria was a part of the drama club and performed in different plays during school.

Victoria had a passion for singing and dancing and would always sing to her parents, family members, doctors and nurses while in their care.  She never let any of her illness stop her from singing or expressing herself.  Her favorite song was by Hilary Duff “Why Not”. She loved playing games and taking her nieces and nephews to her playhouse to play with dolls and different games.

Victoria departed this walk of life on March 31, 2023 under the care of Children’s Hospital of Alabama, Birmingham, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Vesel S. Murray, James H. Murray, Victoria Brown Alexander, and Billie Alexander, Sr., three aunts, Virgina Spears Ruby Young and Inez Amerson and other close relatives.

Victoria’s love and singing will be forever cherished by her loving parents, Donald G. (Sandra A.) Murray; one sister, Tiesha (Chevis) Murray– Finley; nephew, Jaylen Miller; niece, Peyton Spencer; three uncles, James S. Murray, Ronald E. (Cynthia) Murray and Billie Alexander, Jr.; aunt, Maggie Miles; special cousins, Jennifer Murray, Latitia Crawford, Ronald E. (Jenna) Murray, Jr., Michelle Murray, Callie Murray, Keenan Murray and a host of other relatives and friends.
