Vivian H. (Bibba) Datcher

On December 21st, 1957, Vivian Hamilton Datcher began her earthly journey to the union of Willie and Johnnie Mae Hamilton in Talladega, County, Alabama.  She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age and united with Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama.  Vivian was a faithful and dedicated member of Mount Zion, she loved singing songs of Zion with the Mt Zion Choir.  She was a member of the Hospitality Ministry, and she spearheaded the Relay for Life that was held at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist church in the month of May.

Vivian, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend was affectionately known by family and friends as “Bibba” Aka “Bibby”.  She was a faithful employee at Walmart Supercenter in Sylacauga, Alabama for many years.

On February 20th, 2023, Vivian H. Datcher traded her earthly journey for eternal rest, reuniting with her parents, Willie and Johnnie M. Hamilton, two siblings, Timothy Tyrone and Wiley Lee Hamilton.

Her love will forever be cherished by her only loving son, Anthony D. Datcher of Reading, Penn; one loving grandson, Jerimyah Elias-Ray Datcher; three sisters, Willie Mae Shephard, Sandra Jean Gaddis both of Sylacauga, AL, and Patricia H. (David) Johnson of Birmingham, AL; five brothers, Cecil E. Hamilton, Randy E. (Brenda) Hamilton, Kenneth E. Hamilton, Marvin B. Hamilton of Sylacauga, AL, and Calvin L. Hamilton of Birmingham, AL; special friends, Darlene Morris, Cathy Russell, Rita Hallman, Jennifer Goffer, the class of 1977 and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

No amount of time with her would’ve been enough for her family, friends, and loved ones and we’re forever grateful for the time we were blessed with her.
